Meet Our Team

I started The Chamberlain Accounting Firm for three reasons:

First, I was looking to add a practice area to my elder law, probate, and estate planning law firm, and tax and accounting made the most sense. This is because I have a strong understanding of income taxes, as they are integral to my day-to-day legal work. Trusts and estates owe income taxes when they make money, and “death taxes” are always discussed in detail when they are relevant to my estate planning and probate clients.

Second, my accounting firm is focused on working with other law firms because when I opened a law firm in 2020, I struggled to find bookkeepers who understood important legal ethics rules surrounding IOLTA trust accounting, particularly three-way reconciliation, and the tools attorneys use; most bookkeeping services I encountered were not familiar with the legal industry.

Third, I wanted to be an accountant growing up. I was born into a family of accountants going back to my great-grandfather, who had a successful career in Canada, and my grandfather and uncle both worked for Coopers Lybrand, the predecessor to PricewaterhouseCoopers. I have been around accounting my entire life, and my career interest in the profession was re-ignited while working at Bloomberg LP for 10 years, supporting lawyers using their best-in-class tax and accounting information services.

I am dedicated to continually improving the client experience at The Chamberlain Accounting Firm. I do this by refining operations to ensure accuracy, transparency, and efficiency across all services, using technology to streamline processes and deliver timely results, while still taking a personal approach that recognizes each client’s unique financial situation and goals.

Some of my academic and career highlights include:

  • Certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor
  • Member of the National Eagle Scout Association
  • Rutgers College, B.A., magna cum laude
  • Rutgers Gradute School of Education, M.Ed.
  • Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, J.D., Moot Court Honor Society
  • Union County N.J. Prosecutor’s Office, Asst. Prosecutor
  • Owner of The Chamberlain Law Firm, focusing on estate planning, probate, and elder law
